Playground Equipment Receives a Big Thumbs Up!

The new playground equipment at St Andrews RC Primary School was officially opened on Wednesday 5th June 2013 and the verdict from pupils was "Terrific!"

 

The new playground equipment at St Andrews RC Primary School was officially opened on Wednesday 5th June 2013.

Primary 1 were the first to test out the new equipment and the verdict was – “Terrific!”

The new equipment was planned in conjunction with the Pupil Council and installed by Scot Play thanks to a grant which St Andrews received from the Dundee Partnership Community Fund .The equipment consists of stepping stones, zig-zag balance beams, a wobble walkway, rock and roll log, quad climbing wall, trapeze swing, net climber and a spring jump challenge.

Starting with primary 1a, each class in turn was allocated a time-slot to play and test out the equipment, supervised by the playground assistants.

Each class eagerly awaited their turn and after they had a chance to try out the equipment the only complaint that was received from pupils was that they wanted another go!

Tayside Contracts provided a special themed lunch to mark the launch of the new playground which all added to the air of celebration at St Andrews.
